Taking Attendance
If your club has attendance turned on, practices and other non-game activities have an Attendance button where you can mark who showed up. Games don't use this attendance flow.
Opening Attendance
- Open the practice or activity from your schedule
- Tap Attendance
- You'll see how many athletes are still left to mark, for example "3 of 12 left"
Marking Athletes
Each athlete's row has an X at one end and a checkmark at the other: tap the X to mark them absent, the checkmark to mark them present. Your change saves automatically. There's no separate "clear" button: if you tap the wrong end, just tap the other end to correct it.
Once a row is marked (or excused), a note icon appears on it. Tap it to open a sheet where you can:
- Mark a present athlete as Late (instead of on time)
- Add a free-text note
- For an absent athlete, record an excuse reason: Reported in advance, Illness, Injury, School, Family, or Other
If an athlete's guardian responded to the event's RSVP as "not today," you'll see a note under their row when your mark doesn't match: for example, if you mark the athlete present anyway. A one-tap Excuse link sits right in that note so you don't have to open the sheet just to excuse them. It's just a prompt to double-check, not a block.
Finishing Up
If you try to close attendance with athletes still unmarked, you'll be asked about each one individually: Mark present, Mark absent, or Keep looking. You don't have to resolve everyone this way; you can leave the attendance sheet and come back to it later.
